Adalat Legal Advocacy Project in Badakhshan and Takhar Provinces Funded by CHECCHI/USAID

PTCRO implemented the ADALAT Legal Advocacy Grants in 2019 and 2018. This project mainly focused on increasing citizens’ demand for quality legal services, strengthen rule of law and promote access to justice and empower the citizens to obtain justice in Badakhshan and Takhar provinces. In terms of the women/human rights violation cases, this project was very significant for the eradication of human rights abuses, increasing targeted beneficiaries’ awareness and contributing to establishing the rule of law in the country.

Throughout the project, PTCRO implemented all activities as per the approved plan successfully with close coordination of ADALAT/CHEECHI and other governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in the targeted districts of Takhar and Badakhshan provinces. Key activities included establishment of provincial advocacy forums, advocacy networking meetings. three-day advocacy Training-of-Trainers (ToT), basic advocacy training, legal issues training, focus group discussions, radio round tables, and production and broadcasting of legal messages.
