Animal Husbandry Training for Women in Kapisa Province Funded by USAID

From December 2010 to June 2011, PTCRO, with support from Creative/USAID, implemented a vocational training program in animal husbandry for 40 women-headed families in Kapisa province. These families were living in severe poverty and relied on livestock for their livelihoods. As part of the project, PTCRO provided them with free livestock, allowing them to sustain and expand their animal husbandry activities beyond the project’s duration.

The training focused on hygienic methods of dairy production, which not only improved the women’s health but also enhanced the quality of their products. As a result, the economic situation of the participating families saw significant improvement.
