Established Day Care Center for Children in Balk Province

From June 2012 to June 2015, with support from Good Weave USA, PTCRO implemented a project titled Establishing and Operating a Day Care Centre for Children of Women Carpet Weavers in Mazar-e-Sharif. The center was established in Sharak-e-Qalenbafan, providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children of women employed in the carpet weaving sector.

The facility offered basic educational services and mid-day meals, allowing children to engage in learning and productive activities throughout the day. This arrangement gave working mothers peace of mind, knowing their children were in a secure and supportive space during work hours. A total of 40 families benefited directly from this initiative.
