Women Legal Rights Training Project in Kabul, Bamyan, Balk, Herat, Badakhshan, Sar-e-Pul, Parwan, Nangarhar, Laghman and Kapisa Provinces Funded by UN Women

From December 2012 to February 2013, with support from UN Women, PTCRO implemented a training program titled "Justice and Law Training for EVAW Elimination of Violence Against Women Commission Members" across ten provinces—Kabul, Bamyan, Balkh, Parwan, Herat, Badakhshan, Nangarhar, Sar-e-Pul, Laghman, and Kapisa. The initiative targeted 200 beneficiaries in total, with 20 participants from each province.

The main goal of this project was to strengthen the knowledge and awareness of EVAW Commission members, particularly from the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, regarding women's rights and gender-based legal issues. The training was designed to build their capacity to design and implement more effective strategies and programs to prevent and address violence against women, while also enhancing the legal proficiency of provincial Women’s Affairs departments.
