Our programs work to provide or restore agricultural livelihoods opportunities, improve agricultural production and food availability, and promote self-reliance.

As part of our commitment to holistic food security, we support improved agricultural livelihoods by providing critically needed agricultural inputs, such as seeds, tools and fertilizer to crisis-affected households. We support farmers to re-start their productive livelihoods and earn income.

Moreover, we train farmers in climate-smart agriculture and raising poultry and livestock and equip them with inputs like seeds, tools, poultry, livestock, and feed to jumpstart their businesses. PTCRO also recruits and trains local leaders to serve as community promoters who provide onsite support and advice to farmers.

With two decades of experience strengthening livelihoods and reducing poverty in rural communities, PTCRO understands the challenges farmers face and recognizes their huge untapped potential. Its agriculture programs tackle these challenges holistically by creating access to quality inputs and finance, developing entrepreneurs to widen services, promoting effective farming techniques and proven technology, skills development, enterprise facilitation and cash grants to formal and informal businesses.
